OPEN CALL FOR CONTEMPORARY VISIONS OF FLAMENCO IN ALTERNATIVE SPACES 

Tampere Flamenco Festival will organize the Absolutely Tampere – event in collaboration with Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin and their Festival of Contemporary Flamenco – Flamingo. The purpose of this event is to find new creations and experimental visions of Flamenco and also to create a new concept for the festival in Tampere.

These chosen works will be part of the Tampere Flamenco Festival’s 20th anniversary program. The festival will be held from 20th to 25th of July 2015 in Tampere city. We are looking for the most exciting piece/ concept/ project/ work in progress or whatever that will blow our minds and throw us from our conservative seats! 

IT can be Extreme, Intense, Ultimate, Tragic, Outrageous, Sad, Sensitive, Crazy, Hilarious, Spectacular, Intimate, Dramatic – anything with a creative attitude, personality and high professional artistic quality.

IT can be whatever between 10 minutes to 24 hours.

IT must be presented in an OPEN-AIR urban environment and it has to be flexible for different venues/spaces somewhere in Tampere. 

IT should be inspired by the city of Tampere – the Sevilla of Finland! 

We will provide you with a fee, per diem, accommodation and travel expenses. We will also offer you a flamenco floor, sound and a technician at the venue. There is no possibility for complicated light design and it´s not needed because of the nature of Finnish summer. Artistic Directors from bothTampere Flamenco Festival and Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin will make the final selection during April 2015. All applicants will be informed about the results personally by email. 

SURPRISE US! Send us an application and a link to your work. If you are offering  a work, which is not finished yet, let us see your previous works. We will also need a short description about your work, telling us where would you like to perform it and what are your special needs. We ask you to include all the performers and the crew, biographies, fees and your contact details in the application. 

Tampere Flamenco Festival is the oldest, biggest and the most beautiful flamenco festival in the whole Northern Europe! Dig that!

CONVOCATORIA PARA VISIONES CONTEMPORÁNEAS DE FLAMENCO EN ESPACIOS ALTERNATIVOS 

Festival Flamenco de Tampere va a organizar el evento Absolutely Tampere en colaboración con la Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin y su  Festival de Flamenco Contemporáneo – Flamingo. El objetivo de este evento es encontrar nuevas creaciones y visiones experimentales de flamenco y también crear un nuevo concepto para el festival en Tampere.

Los trabajos seleccionados serán parte del programa del vigésimo aniversario del Festival Flamenco de Tampere. El festival tendrá lugar entre el 20 y el 25 de julio de 2015 en la ciudad de Tampere. Buscamos las piezas/ conceptos/ proyectos/ trabajos en desarrollo más fascinantes… ¡o cualquier otra propuesta que nos vuele la cabeza y nos tire de nuestros asientos conservadores!

Puede ser extremo, intenso, contundente, trágico, excesivo, triste, sensible, demencial, hilarante, espectacular, íntimo, dramático… cualquier cosa con una actitud creativa, personalidad y una calidad artística altamente profesional.

Puede ser cualquier propuesta de entre 10 minutos a 24 horas.

Debe presentarse en un espacio abierto de un entorno urbano y tiene que ser adaptable para diferentes localizaciones en algún lugar de Tampere.

Debería estar inspirado en la ciudad de Tampere… ¡la Sevilla de Finlandia!

Aportaremos vuestros honorarios, las dietas y los costes de viaje y alojamiento. También os ofreceremos un suelo de flamenco, sonido y un técnico en la localización. No hay posibilidad de recurrir a diseños de luces complejos y además no es necesario debido a la naturaleza del verano finlandés. Los directores artísticos del Festival Flamenco de Tampere y de la Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin harán la selección final durante abril de 2015. Todos los solicitantes serán informados de la resolución personalmente por email.
